Cleaning-Up with the Neuton Garden Cart
Here's an email we received last week from Texas:
Hello Neuton folks,
My name is Glenda H., and my husband, Woody, and I live in the Piney Woods of Deep East Texas. We moved here in 2005 just a few days before the arrival of Hurricane Rita. We have just been through another, Hurricane Ike. But, unlike the Rita aftermath, we had our Neuton Cart this time. The attached picture shows me with the Cart loaded during the cleanup. We have had it now for a couple of years and it is WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD!
Our property is about three acres with numerous oaks, maples, pines, etc. which we love. But, of course, in the fall it becomes the "Leaf Farm". We have used the Cart for multiple purposes, leaf/limb cleanup, hauling decorative pavers around, potting soil, plant containers. Even our grounds maintenance man uses it all the time too. One of the best purchases we have made.
Thank you.
Woody and Glenda H.

At first glance, the Neuton Battery Lawn Mower looks more like a compact car than a mower. Designed for convenience and efficiency, its aerodynamic blades and sleek design help it get the job done while using less energy. We know what you’re thinking... sure, it’s convenient, quiet, lightweight and good for the environment, but is it powerful? Surprisingly, yes.

Because a Neuton is battery-powered, it can do things that no gas mower can. Check out the Neuton Trimmer/Edger attachment in action!

Groovy Green Review
Over at Groovy Green they really like the Neuton. Here's what Michael d'Estries has to say after giving a CE 5.2 a spin:
...if you’re looking for something quiet, powerful, and virtually maintenance-free, I can highly recommend this mower for anyone eager to add even more green to their outside chores.

Inc.com on Neuton Inc.
The unstoppable Tom Szaky (co-founder of Terracycle) writes a great blog over at Inc.com. In a recent post he tackles Green Washing, defined by CorpWatch as "the phenomena of socially and environmentally destructive corporations or governments attempting to preserve and expand their markets or power by posing as friends of the environment."
That's not Neuton. In addition to offering a product which eliminates the need for a gasoline-fueled internal cumbustion engine, we're reducing non-recylable materials in our packaging, and all of our batteries are virtually 100% recyclable.
Here's what Tom has to say about Neuton:
Oddly enough, some products that seem like clear examples of green washing turn out to be truly green. After seeing many lawn mower companies claiming to be green, I wondered, "How eco-friendly could a lawn mower really be?" Then I met the founder of Neuton, Inc., who gave me a sample of his battery-operated lawn mower. I was wrong. Some battery-operated lawn mowers are in fact green.

Tech is their obsession
And this is what they say about the Neuton:
Vermont-based Neuton’s newest electric lawnmower, the Neuton CE 6.2, has a simple plan: giving you more muscle to mulch while cutting back your carbon footprint (since you won't be burning gas) and wallet emissions (that you'd spend on said fuel). The rechargeable heart of this mower is a removable, recyclable 36-volt battery, giving it enough power mow down that tall, wet grass left by summertime procrastinators.

Go Alec!
From the Courier-Post:
...the teen and a few of his buddies have started a mowing business in their hometown of Delanco with their push mowers called Green Grass, which uses no gasoline-powered mowers.
(Take one guess what type of battery-powered lawn mower Alec is using.)
And there's more from the Burlington County Times:
For his efforts, the county Board of Freeholders recognized Alec with its first “Sustainable Living Award” at the Earth Fair in June and, on Wednesday, the board presented him with a battery-powered, emissions-free lawn mower.
Neuton Mowers of Vermont exhibited the mower at the Earth Fair and later donated it to the freeholders.
