The 24-Volt Neuton battery is compatible with the Neuton CE5 Mower. It is also compatible with the DR® WhisperLite Battery-Powered Mower and the Neuton EM 4.1 and earlier (pre-2006) models.

Purchased this initially for replacement of a dead one. When it was going to take awhile to receive we had to change course. Our dead one was rebuilt and works just fine so now we have a extra on hand should the rebuilt fail.

We have had this mower for a number of years now and love the quiet and efficient product. It does everything we need it to do without pollution or fighting an electric cord and it doesn't take that much time to recharge the battery once the initial charge

I have had the mower since 2004 and it has served me well. It works great for the new place I live and the new battery was much needed. I think it has more power than the other batteries. I might mention that it was great to call and have a person answer
instead of a voice mail. That individual could take care of my request and it was shipped to me on a timely basis. Am happy with the service.

I finally ordered a new battery after using my Neuton mower and original six year old batteries. The original batteries still have some mowing life in them and they've done well with grass that is normal length and then longer length. The mower even chopped
through a weedy area yesterday. A great mower and product.

First off it was the key that I had that was bad (but I thought it was the battery). I am still using the old battery I have that came with the purchase of the lawn mower 7 years ago and it now works fine. I have used the new battery and it works fine

One battery can do the job

We had 2 batteries but one wouldn't hold a charge and the other only got part of the yard done. It took 3 charges to finish the job so I ordered a back up battery to hopefully get the job done with just the 2 good batteries. Lo and Behold, the new battery
got the yard cut all by itself. Guess you just don't realize how much of a charge an old battery takes until you get a new one and it can do the whole yard all on it's own. Might just have to get another one so we never have to wait again.

I am currently on my third battery in six years. I just ordered number four. I have a 40x120 backyard, so they are not being over taxed. When this one goes dead (as I know it will) I'll buy another brand, hopefully with a better quality control

Under normal conditions, the battery charge should last for approximately forty-five (45) to sixty (60) minutes per use with a fully charged battery.
The length of time depends on the length, density, and dampness of the grass, cutting height setting, current battery charge level, and ongoing battery care/charging. If the battery does not provide a forty-five (45) minute run time, it does not mean that your battery is defective.
If you generally intend to use your Mower for a longer duration, Neuton Power Equipment recommends that you purchase an extra battery. Whereby, you could have a second fully charged battery ready so you can continue mowing.
You should charge the battery for before you use it for the first time. If you do not charge it before that first time use, the charging capacity could decrease. Once you use the battery, regardless of the level of depletion, you must recharge the Battery completely, immediately after use.
It may take up to five (5) charging and discharging cycles before your battery provides maximum life.
A battery may last much longer if you charge it as soon as it noticeably starts to lose power. Do not force the battery to discharge to the extent that the machine will no longer operate. You should never try to coax a little more power out of your battery.
Recharge the battery as soon as possible after each use & according to your charger’s specific instructions. If by chance you no longer have the instructions, please feel free to contact us at
800-376-9637 and someone from our Tech Support Department would be happy to send them to you.
And lastly, you should always bring your battery in when the temperatures dip to freezing or below and store in a warm dry location.

When I originally ordered this mower, I ordered 2 battery packs to keep it running for the large yard I mow. The new battery I charged for a day or two until I could get around to mowing lasted approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in high grass and weeds.
As long as I needed to be out in 95 degree heat!

I was disappointed that no one in Ontario, Canada within 100 miles of London carries the spare batteries. It seemed to take several days to process the order. Although I was told I would be called within 2 business days, I called after 4 days, which if
I had not there would have been a further delay in shipping. I got the battery the second morning after shipment. By the way the battery seems better than the original.

Very Short Life Battery

I bought a replacement battery for my Neuton CE-5 mower. It worked great the 1st year, the 2nd year it would die halfway through cutting my grass on my 1/8 acre property and needed to be recharged. By the 3rd year the battery was dead. I called Neuton
and they said "sorry we only guarantee the battery for 6 months and offer a 1 year replacement warranty". DON'T TRUST NEUTON THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!

We just bought this replacement battery for our mower. Works GREAT. Can do our whole lawn on a charge. Just wish we had one of the new chargers, with the indicator lights showing when the battery is fully charged, but the old one works OK!

24 V Battery

I received both batteries and plugged them in and when they were ready I installed one and had a little problem. The new battery was slightly larger than the original I have. I had to do some shifting to get it to fit into the compartment. It does work
very well once I make sure it's installed properly. I think for the older mowers, the new batteries need to be made about 16th or 32nd of an inch smaller for a better fit. I'm just glad there were batteries for the model I have as this mower was purchased

Beyond expectations

The new battery works far better than I ever expected. After charging the battery, I let the mower sit for a week and then cut my front yard. There was no additional charging needed. I still had all the power I needed to complete the back yard. Very reliable

We love our Neuton battery mower - no need to buy and store gas. We always have power with these batteries. Once fully charged they last about 45 minutes. We keep two on hand but usually only need to use one, unless the grass is really tall or damp.

This is my 4th bat., I still have the original bat. that came with the mower purchased in '02! It's Unbelievable but it still works for about 15 minutes, so I am going to retire this well used cell. My mower still runs so quiet, my neighbors ask me "is
that thing running?, it's so quiet" it's sooo nice not having to deal with gas,oil,noise and the mess of normally aspirated motors. Battery power is the way to go!!

This is a replacement for the original battery that lasted at least 4 - 5 years (bought the mower used 3 years ago). Charged battery as instructed and was pleasantly reminded of how well the mower works with a strong battery (last couple of years it has
been leaving some grass clippings behind as it mowed - not bad on the grass, but I had to sweep sidewalks after mowing as the clippings would blow out to sidewalk). Now no clippings on sidewalk! Mower took on heavy grass with no problem. Love this mower!
